We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and self-driven person to join our team in this full-time role within our thriving family-run business. This is a diverse position, combining Events Management, Sponsor Management and Personal Assistant responsibilities, providing an opportunity to work in a small friendly team in a changing and growing business.
The ideal applicant will have a passion for our industry, combined with excellent organisational and customer relationship skills, with a confidence to approach new clients and foster relationships to drive the growth of our Events business.
Our corporate and private Events are key to the success of our business, and a growing part of our portfolio of services. We provide high quality corporate and private Events to clients of all sizes.
This role will take on responsibility for managing our existing Events, whilst also identifying and implementing new opportunities to attract new clients, and to develop and improve our services as a whole, growing our reputation as a leading Events provider.
The ideal applicant will therefore be a self-starter, who will bring new ideas as well as being a trusted owner for the existing Events business. The role will also include the recruitment and management of temporary/occasional staff to run the Events, with support from the rest of the Oxford Gun Company team.
Sponsor Management and Recruitment
Our sponsors are key to the profitability and viability of our events, so fostering our sponsor relationships is critical to our success and the growth of our Events. The role will include recruitment of new sponsors, selling sponsorship packages, and managing and maintaining our reputation with existing sponsors.
Personal Assistant to David Florent
The position will also include fulfilling the role of Personal Assistant to David Florent, fulfilling varied duties as needed in the administration and management of the Oxford Gun Company office.
Typical Duties, which may vary:
Planning and Management of Events for private and corporate customers.
Organising exhibitors and trade stands for Events.
Recruitment and management of staff for Events.
Managing, fostering and developing relationships with sponsors and partners, including selling sponsorship packages.
Coordination and overseeing all brands of the Oxford Gun Company group.
Social media, advertising, promotions and all marketing for the group.
Front-of-house meeting-and-greeting our clients and visitors, looking after their needs on a day-to-day basis both for Events and within our shop and shooting grounds.
Helping with the day-to-day running of the business with David and Nicky Florent.
Typical PA Duties, including general administration and supporting other staff members as needed.

We will offer an attractive and competitive salary, based on the applicant’s experience and skills. As a salaried position, the working hours will vary week-to-week, with the requirement to work the hours needed to fulfill the varied and challenging duties.
